Whether it's a raspy-throated vocal interpretation of Janis Joplin or Susan Tedeschi, or a soft ballad from Bonnie Raitt or Patsy Cline, a rock-rooted Suzanne Lord performance will make you sit up and take notice!

Suzanne's diverse background of rock, R&B and Country are apparent in her unique and exciting sound. Performing has taken her from the US to Europe, sharing stages with rock legends and grammy award winners like; Meatloaf, Rick Derringer, Johnny Winter, Paul Nelson, Vito Liuzzi, James Montgomery, Ronnie Spector, Huey Lewis, Al Jarreau, Jeffrey Osborne, Chuck Mangione, Paul Noel Stookey, Raun Ruffin, Kathleen Turner, Chris Fitz, Paul Petit & Detroit Breakdown, Greg Hodde & The Blue Miracles, Hilly Michaels-Dan Hartman Band, Dennis Dunaway-Alice Cooper Band, Cesar Rosas-Los Lobos, and Herb Reed & The Platters. She founded and toured with the Texas Blues Band "High Maintenance", along with Dave Howard and the High Rollers. She has also has toured with jazz pianist-Mathew Quinn, The Mill City Rockers, T-Bone Wolk of Hall & Oates and SNL fame, Ringo's All Star Band, and Grammy Award Winner-Perry Lee "Tiny" Tavares of Tavares fame.

Her first CD project, "Shoot The Moon", was released on the Big Noise Record label and features an 8-song collection of eclectic material, covering Pop, Rock and Jazz, showcasing her incredible range and versatility as a singer. Her strong and sexy style has won her acclaim in New England and abroad.  Backing Zan on the project is Billy Joel's legendary drummer Liberty DeVitto, Johnny Winter Bassist-Scott Spray, and veteran keyboardist from Ronnie Spector's band, Beth Styles. The album was produced by former Orleans guitarist Michael Mugrage, who also added his expert guitar work, songwriting and arrangement talents!

About Rick

Rick is an award winning songwriter, having received a "Director's Choice Award" from the Nashville International Songwriter's Association in 2010 for his song, "Little Girl", which he wrote in honor of his daughter's wedding day.

 

Rick's passion for music, songwriting and performing began in the 60's.. after seeing  the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show he was hooked! He has performed professionally since 1975 both as a solo performer and as a member of the New England based James Brothers Band.  His guitar playing styles and songwriting have been greatly influenced specifically by James Taylor, Stephen Stills,The Beatles, and Neil Young.

 

Besides his guitar, Rick adds his melodic vocal support to the duo, along with various harmonica styles to the many songs ZanRicky performs.  He continues to write and produce all arrangements for the duo and special music projects.  He and Zan are currently colaborating on their debut EP project.
